| Zona began her drapery business back in 1982, when she and her family moved to the Des Moines area. Zona's love and passion for creating beautiful things began as a child making her own Barbi doll clothes. She feels blessed to be using her talents to make beautiful surroundings for her clients. | Zona attends seminars, conferences and trade shows as a source of her continued education and knowledge of the latest trends and newest fabrication techniques for fabricating window coverings. Zona has been an instructor at 3 of the conferences she has attended. She has written articles for the trade magazine Custom Home Furnishings. She is also an instructor at the Custom Home Furnishings Academy. |
| Zona has submitted some of her work to the Custom Home Furnishings Workmanship and Design contest and received a 1st place award. She has also received a 3rd place award and several honorable mentions. Zona has had her work published in Better Homes and Gardens, special interest publications for BHG, Window and Walls, Bedroom and Bath, Paint Decor, Renovation Style, Real Life Decorating, Decorating Style, and The Des Moines Register. She has also had her work featured in several of the spring Home Shows throughout the years she has been in business in the Des Moines area. |
